Kruger National Park in South Africa
Videos | Gallery | Explored | Stories
The Kruger National Park is world renown for its excellent habitats, amazing animal and bird life and for the convenience of rest camps and well looked after roads. You are always bound to find something different here and seeing something amazing.
The beauty of this park is not that you come here once and then leave, but that you can return in different seasons and more importantly stay in different places. What will also strike you about the Kruger National Park is that the large animals are fascinating but the small mammals and birds become the highlight while you are there.
The Kruger National Park has 12 main rest camps throughout its 2 000 000 hectares from the Northern Zimbabwe Border to the Southern Border, with Mozambique flanked on the East of the Park. There are also smaller Bushveld camps away from all the crowds and left to the wonderful nature around. If you want a Safari experience in South Africa, this is the place to come. You will pass amazing spaces to get here and you will see amazing sights while you are here. Just don’t get out your car!
The Kruger National Park is also part of a larger group of parks between Zimbabwe, Mozambique and South Africa called the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park with a huge conservation area of 37 572 000 ha of land. (The Size of the Netherlands). This is also only the start as the plan is to include further parks in Mozambique and South Africa to increase the size to nearly 100 000 000 hectares.
