The Cairngorms National Park is situated in the Caledonian Pine forests and moorlands of Scotland. Crofts, farms and rivers are found all over as this National Park is perfectly harmonised with the people who live and work here.
The Cairngorms National Park is one of two National Parks in Scotland and is amongst the Cairngorm Mountain Range. It boasts being the largest National Park of the United Kingdom.
During winter Aviemore becomes a popular holiday destination as the snow attracts many skiers. There is also the Dalwhinnie distillery to visit within Cairngorms National Park and a Wildlife Park.
Deer are common in the Cairngorms National Park, as are red grouse with their vibrant colours. Here you will also have the opportunity (although not guaranteed) to see one of the rarest mammals in Britain, the Red Squirrel. Look out for the Golden Eagle too which will just astound you with its huge wingspan as it flies on high.
However, the finest to see within the Cairngorms National Park, is the rare Scottish Wildcat and some of the beautiful rare flowers.
You will not be disappointed travelling here as their are plenty of places to stay and many miles to walk. The space is what is amazing though and well worth the visit.
