Butrinti National Park (also Buthrotum, Buthrōtum and Βουθρωτόν, Bouthrōtón) is home to a UNESCO World Heritage site that holds monuments from Ancient Greek and Roman times. Only 14km from Sarandë and is of high Archaeological Significance, even catering to study here.
The marine environment with views of islands for a wonderful oasis for marine life. This is one of the more managed national parks in Albania and is an important tourist stop due to the history of the site.
It is not far from the Greek border, so if you intend a visit you can access the area from Greece too.
