Samur-Yalama National Park in Azerbaijan is a wetland and lowland forest area. Situated at the far North Eastern corner of Azerbaijan in the Khachmaz Region, Samur-Yalama National Park protects a number of birds, fish and mammal species in the area.
In the Samur-Yalama National Park chamois and Caucasian Deer roam, both of which will be a sight to see on any trip. The Bee-Eater will be a colourful sight to set your birdwatching off to a flying start and to happen upon an Imperial Eagle, should draw you back to this National Park again.
The Samur-Yalama National Park is the newest to date (04/2016) in Azerbaijan and has rich coastal waters including the Caspian Kutum and Salmon. There are also dense forest in the Caspian coastal zone, protecting many species of trees and plants. It will be developing into a tourist spot to view the wildlife and admire the landscape which the National Park protects.
