Snowdonia National Park has high mountain ranges and low valley floors, with crystal clear springs. In the distance you may hear a narrow guage railway, or see a landscape scene that woul dlead you to believ eyou were in a picture. And all that is before you reach the coast!
Snowdonia National Park has been used by the Climbers of Mount Everest in 1953 – Hillary and Tenzing – as a training ground for the high altitude ascent. It won a Dark Skies award in 2013, ensuring it as a place to view the night sky above unhindered by the bright lights of the city, and it is a place where young and old can take part in any number of activities.
Go for a paddle around the coast, walk the pristine slopes of Snowdonia, or cycle the Llanberis pass, perhaps you fancy a paraglide around Llanberis itself. If you are active, Snowdonia National Park will certain drain some of your energy and leave you wanting to come back for more tomorrow.
What seems to offer the most from Snowdonia National Park is the variety of ways in which you can enjoy it. Travel on road or rail, foot or cycle. See food markets, coastal scenery and Mountain Tops that will have your camera merory card full before you return home.
