I Love You Darling

I think this is the ultimate caress. One Hammerkop affectionately caring for a his partner. How amazingly expressive and wonderful to see.
The Hammerkop is normally found near water, fishing, but this fine morning a gentle wake up and a cuddle were called for.
Thanks so much for looking as supporting the National Parks Guy, as I travel to bring our wild precious spaces to our rushed and busy lives.

Description
Animals can be so vicious towards one another and yet at other times, are affectionate and caring in the best way possible.
Early morning in the Kruger National Park and the water is flowing strong under the bridge and right beside me were two Hammerkops who, aside from getting ready for the day, were just enjoying each others company.
The one Hammerkop was affectionately nibbling the other’s head feathers and they really seemed to be lost in the moment. There was no one and nothing else that mattered there and then.
Hammerkop in the direct translation from Afrikaans means Hammer Head, and their head feathers really look just like a hammer!
A great moment and very special to witness.
