How’s This?

The Kudu has long legs and huge ears that, just like a trumpet in reverse, allows this antelope to pick up the smallest of sounds.

Very shy, they often hide in the bush, almost undetected as they blend in with the surroundings so well. The male has huge antlers which look very impressive and a little white beard.

Description

The Kudu is a majestic looking woodland antelope, that although shy at times, when seen looks like it was made of all the royalty one could muster… and then

the ears appear!

Huge great trumpets that swivel independently of each other taking in every little sound that they can pick up. When seen grazing together there is normally a look out that stands to attention and keeps those radars peaked for any sound!

When I was taking this the sun reflected of this female Kudu in such a way as if it was an actual photoshoot. It seems like she is saying, “How about this side? Good?”

With long legs she wandered into the bushes after a short time and was gone, blending in perfectly with her surroundings.

National Parks really offer so much more than just seeing a few mountains, and some trees, you have the time to relax and enjoy the wildlife that resides there and take in different personalities.

Thank you for supporting me, as I visit national parks, as the National parks Guy, I hope to bring some of the amazing and varied wildlife into your home.
