Eggshell in Vogue
£83.00
If there one bird that looked like an eggshell, this would be it. The Female Double-Banded Sandgrouse. Mating for life, her and her spouse look for small seeds throughout the day, often with some family in tow, and at night, they head to the water. Always by each others side.
But this is one bird to show off the seasons best dress I think. Perfectly camouflaged against the rough terrain and almost invisible in the long grass.
Thanks you for supporting the National Parks Guy, and allowing me to share the beauty of the wildlife I experience with you.

Description
Birds come in all shapes and sizes, but this female Double-Banded Sandgrouse is rather special. She posed for a little while before I was able to take this shot and seeing the detail on her wings and body was incredible to see through the lens.
As far as females go, she certainly has the ‘in-season’ look with the fine egg shell pattern. Her counterpart, is equally stunning and worthy of a picture too. (Perhaps find it here)
I was in the Kruger National Park when I spotted this bird and as you can see the light is already beginning to leave us. A great day was had in the National Park, seeing it so green.
Thank you for supporting me, as I visit national parks, as the National parks Guy, I hope to bring some of the amazing and varied wildlife into your home.
