Biscayne National Park is located in Southern Florida is a water lovers paradise. Protecting natural coral reefs, one of the largest Mango Groves and largest coral island, Biscayne National Park is bound to be a place to get your toes wet while in Florida.
Theses sensitive water protect the coral and the sea creatures, along with the beaches which turtles use for breeding. The area is mainly reached by boat, apart from the mainland visitor center. If you want a National Park experience under water, then this National Park should be on your list of places to visit.
There are a few wrecks to dive and visit, along with seeing the threatened smalltooth sawfish, manatees and hawksbill turtles. The Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary lies against the Eastern Border of Biscayne National park, making these waters even more special. There are sightings of Pelicans, Frigatebirds, brown boobies and shearwaters to name a few of the you can see in the area.
There is over 10000 years of human history in the area too, so there really is something for everyone when you visit this special National park!
