Bryce Canyon National Park in United States of America

Bryce Canyon National Park, USA, in UTAH. This is a place for pink, orange and red soaked hills that glow in the sun, early morning and late evening. A place of adventuring down twisty winding paths to the bottom, and to explore the amazing landscape that surrounds you. Do not forget the camera battery!
One would think that being labelled a canyon it is, but instead it is a place of Hoodoos. Yup, Hoodoos people! This is where the weather and erosion from multiple sources have all gone into creating this unique landscape. (Just for information, a canyon has one source to erode it… we’re all learning!)
The area has been settled with many different people, but the name comes from a Mormon settler, Ebenezer Bryce, who lived close by in 1874. It was rarely visited due to the inaccessibility but as more and ore people came to see this wonderful landscape so there was more need for the area to be protected and Bryce Canyon National Park was formed in 1928.
There are plenty of opportunities to drive and photograph the idyllic points, but make provision for a trail or two. This is where the magic happens. Early dawn, before the sun rises get on a trail and watch these amazing colours begin to light up.
If you are into your climbing – DON’T! the rocks pretty much crumble and even a light scrabble will possibly leave you with a broken ankle. There are campsites and guided tours all available for the area. So have a look around when you are visiting. Oh, and if you want to see a sky FULL of stars – stay for the night show. It is one of the darkest skies in America. You are bound to see something special!
Bryce Canyon National Park offers a free shuttle service to seeing the park too.
